Use multiple tactics to retain the power of the people.

1. Put pressure on those who cast electoral votes as they have until December 19 to cast their final vote; encourage/pressure them to vote as they should to represent the popular vote of the people. 2. Impose greater than the current $1000.00 for those who cast votes against the popular vote that they are supposed to represent. 3. Boycott all things related to Trump, including those business and brands that are represented or owned by his three oldest children as they hold too much influence over Trump. 4. (This last one appears to be overwhelming but it is doable. It takes a page from the history of India when fighting for independence from Britain.) Organize a work stoppage for the entire country for a period of 24 to 48 hours (or more). This would include communications, transportation, business, and all other areas other than emergency services as lives should not be put at risk. If police departments who are not allowed to strike can go out with a 'blue flu' then it is possible to do this in other areas. 5. Above all, maintain a civil disobedience and non-violence in order to not allow Trump fueled media to exploit such actions as being the work of paid protesters, thugs, or criminals. Therefore, if any violence is not in retaliation for such actions then it would only come from the Trump camp. For those who are concerned with their jobs, go to your doctor and get a valid excuse; it would be worth the cost of a doctor's visit to keep this man out of office and out of our government.

Great idea. We need to reach out to our representatives. But, also we need to continue the conversation even if he does officially become president. People are angry for a reason. They don’t feel heard and even though they themselves are partly to blame for not voicing their opinions and ideas at all elections and town meetings, so are politicians. They have ignored our cries for their own selfish gain. They forgot they work for us the “people” and not the lobbyist. We need to demand the end of the electoral college, among many other things. We need to gain back control of our country. We can not put it ALL on one man’s/womens shoulders. We need to rise up and stand together. We the people control this country and we need to start electing a president that represents all of us.
